Apparel Size Guide | How to Measure
Discover the story behind JN Fashion Fusion — a premium women's fashion brand crafting luxury editorial pieces including velvet jumpsuits, embellished dresses, and statement two-piece sets.
Find your fit
Use the size chart for the exact product you are shopping. Size labels can differ between styles and suppliers. There is no universal measurement chart for our dresses, jumpsuits, or two-piece sets.
Measurement status: Pending supplier verification. No numeric measurements are provided in this draft. Only values confirmed for the exact style and size may be labeled Supplier-verified. Missing values mean not provided, not zero.
How to measure a garment
Choose a similar garment that fits you well. Fasten it and lay it flat on a level surface, smooth out wrinkles, and measure without stretching the fabric. Compare garment measurements with garment measurements, not directly with body measurements.
- Chest width: Measure straight across from underarm to underarm.
- Waist width: Measure straight across the waistband or waist seam, with elastic relaxed. If no waist seam exists, use the waist position specified in the product chart.
- Hip width: Measure straight across the hip position specified in the product chart. The distance below the waist must be stated for a repeatable measurement.
- Length: For dresses and tops, measure from the highest shoulder point to the hem. For strapless or asymmetric styles, follow the product chart's stated start and end points.
- Sleeve length: For set-in sleeves, measure from shoulder seam to cuff. Other sleeve constructions need a stated method.
- Shoulder width: Measure across the back between shoulder seams, where applicable.
- Inseam: Measure along the inside leg from crotch seam to hem.
- Front rise: Measure from the crotch seam to the top of the front waistband along the seam.
- Bottom length: Measure down the side from the top of the waistband to the hem.
- Jumpsuit torso length: Use the exact shoulder-to-crotch method stated by the supplier; do not substitute overall length.
Flat widths are not circumferences. Doubling a flat width gives an approximate garment circumference only when the garment construction permits it. Do not halve a supplier's body-size recommendation and present it as a verified flat garment measurement.
Dresses: product-specific measurement record
Record one row for every size actually sold for the exact style. Fields: size label; flat chest width; flat waist width; flat hip width and measurement position; garment length; shoulder width and sleeve length where applicable; units; measurement method; verification status.
Jumpsuits: product-specific measurement record
Record one row for every size actually sold for the exact style. Fields: size label; flat chest width; flat waist width; flat hip width and measurement position; shoulder-to-crotch torso length; front rise where applicable; inseam; overall length; units; measurement method; verification status.
Two-piece sets: separate top and bottom records
Top
Record each actual size separately: flat chest width; flat waist or hem width as applicable; top length; shoulder width and sleeve length where applicable; units; measurement method; verification status.
Bottom
Record each actual size separately: relaxed flat waist width; flat hip width and measurement position; front rise and inseam for pants or shorts; bottom length; units; measurement method; verification status. If the top and bottom have different size labels, show both labels explicitly.
How to read verified measurements
Supplier-verified: The exact field has been confirmed by the supplier for this product and size. Record the supplier source and verification date with the underlying data. Apply this label to individual verified values, not an entire chart with unverified fields.
Pending supplier verification: The measurement is not yet confirmed. Do not use it to choose a size. Not applicable: The measurement does not apply to this garment.
Every published chart must identify inches or centimeters. If both are shown, label converted values and round consistently. Any elastic stretch range, manufacturing tolerance, or fit claim must be confirmed for the exact style before publication.
Before choosing your size
Compare the chart for your chosen style with a similar garment you own. Consider the intended fit and any verified stretch information. If the product does not yet have verified measurements, contact us for help before ordering.
